{fabric rosette bib necklace}

So gave this a try and I love it. Wish I had made two. I gave this one to my darling mother-in-law. Takes less than 1/2 hour to make and you end up with this beauty.
I used this tutorial for the rosettes and then just hot glued them unto some felt. and glued the ribbon in between them. All made with leftover fabric.

{he's here!}

I decided to do an e-announcement for this little guy. Created these using summertimedesigns.blogspot.com - she has a TON of free papers and embellishments to use. I loved how they turned out.
If you'd like an actual copy let me know and I'll be happy to send one to you.

{birthday bird}

Made this cute little birdy for my SIL one of my favorite cards. I bought a pre-printed card but I like to spruce them up a little. Looking back, I would have sewn the ribbon directly to the card, I just stitched it with a long stitch onmy sewing maching to rouch it and then sewed it on to the card at the ends. Cut the felt out to the appropriate shape. Sewed a french knot for the eye. and sewed on the button. Quick and relatively easy

{you're invited}

After hours and hours on photoshop we ended up with a beautiful invitation for Chelsea's wedding. front and back:

{just a little advice}

For those of you who don't know, My sister's getting married in August! view:tylerandchelsea.blogspot.com and I went to her shower last weekend! lots of fun! My job was to bring advice cards for people to write on. I decided to have a color scheme and do them all different instead of having all the exact same card. The thing that's genius about this is that she can store the advice cards in this tin,

and she can also display them on it,

on a mantle with this adorable little flower magnet. That way the things she loves can be displayed beautifully and also be a reminder in daily life. Can be easily changed to suit whatever she needs that day/week/month. p.s. you don't have to look at all of these cards, their mostly for my documentation.

{father's day cards}

Tabi, my sister-in-law clued me into a few ideas for these next cards. I tried stitching in paper! It worked fabulously and it gave it a beautiful 3 dimensional look. I took a pre-made blank card and turned into a fun and chic 'dad' card!

She also clued me into a website that had ideas for card making and scrapbooking. I got my idea for this one from pebblesinmypocket.com The orange polka-dot pattern and the orange bow is leftover from the front of a card someone gave me for my birthday. It can really tough to store all the leftover cards but it can really pay off when you get something cute like this out of it.

This final card is for Aria's Daddy. I'm going to let Aria color wherever she wants on it, so I wanted lots of open space so that hopefully I could write something meaningful as well. I love patterns!

{Thank You Pettit's!}

I have lately enjoyed making cards to send to people. I bought the little packet of papers, cutouts and vellums for $1 at Joann's and I bought a pack of cards to match. This way It costs me about 25 cents a card and it becomes more meaningful because I feel like I actually get to have an impact on what I'm trying to say. This was a Thank you card for Grandma Julie. We had such a blast with them we wanted to tell them so. The flowers were printed on paper and then I folded them like a snowflake to give them a more full look. The back is just green striped paper to give it the appearance of stems, or grass or whatever. Then we left plenty of room on the inside to include any special thoughts - The best part of sending or receiving a card. Knowing that someone loves you.
